Backwoods Paddlesports

Make some memories on the Trinity River by renting a kayak, canoe or stand-up paddleboard from Backwoods Paddlesports, located at Panther Island Pavilion! Take a paddle up the Clear or West Forks of the Trinity River for laid-back journey! Another unique way to enjoy the Trinity River at the pavilion is by attending one of the new SUP Yoga Classes offered by Backwoods Paddlesports on Wednesday’s and weekends!
Major Ripley Arnold Statue

The city’s largest bronze monument honoring Fort Worth founder, Major Ripley Allen Arnold, is located in John V. McMillan Plaza. Learn about this figure from Fort Worth history surrounded by views of downtown and the Trinity River.
Trinity Trails

TRWD’s Trinity Trails System winds through much of Fort Worth and is one of the Metroplex’s most used recreational facilities. Encompassing more than 100 miles, it provides an excellent venue for trail users to bike, walk, run or even ride horses. It is Cowtown, after all.

Head over to the Fort Worth B-cycle station located at Taylor Circle to rent a bike from Fort Worth Bike Sharing! Hop on the trails at Panther Island and explore the island and city! Also, make sure to check out their Free FriYAYs on the first Friday of every month for your free ride! Enjoy the gorgeous views of downtown, Panther Island Pavilion, the Trinity River and so much more!
